Kheema Masala ~ My style

This is one yumm yumm dish which I always make at home and beleive me, it somehow goes damn good with hot rice and ghee !! 🙂 Atleast that’s how I like it ! It also goes great with roti or pav..

You’ll Need :

750 gms minced mutton (kheema)

5 tsps oil

2 onions chopped very finely

1 tomato chopped finely

1 tsp shajeera

Handful of cashews

1.5 tsp khus khus

2 sticks of cinnamon

1/2tsp jeera

3 badi laichi

2-3tsp coriander seeds

7-8 cloves

2 Javithri

Chilli powder

Salt

Coriander leaves- a small bunch.

Turmeric

2 tsp Ginger garlic paste

Preparation:

1. Dry roast all the spices in a pan and grind them into a powder. Keep it aside.

2. In a deep bottomed pan or pressure cooker (I usually prefer this), add oil.

3. To hot oil, add chopped onion. Let it brown a little and then add ginger garlic paste and tomatoes.

4. Saute them for a while, add the cleaned minced meat.

5. Fry it for a little while, add turmeric, chilli powder, salt and the masala powder.

6. Add just a little water. may be 1/4th cup. Put on the lid, leave it for about 3 whistles.

7. Let the pressure cooker cool down and you can fry this again in a pan if you want it more dry or you can serve it as it is, topping with chopped coriander.

I fried half of it and here is how i like it –

Enjoy !!! 🙂
