Chicken in Beer Batter

When I see a carton of beers lieing around in my refrigerator for guests to come, I think more than just drinking beer !

This recipe of Chicken fingers in beer batter is an all time favorite with my brother and friends !

Ingredients :

1/2 kg Boneless Chicken (Cut thin and long)

1.5 tsp barbeque sauce

1tsp chilli powder or paprika

1 egg

1/2 cup of beer

All purpose flour (or maida)

Salt

Olive oil

Some garam masala (a cocktail of spices in a powder form)

1 tsp Pepper (if you dont want paprika or you can even add both)

Bread crumbs

1 sweet lime (or mosambi)

Preparation:

1. Beat an egg with barbeque sauce, chilli powder, salt, garam masala (just a sprinkle), juice of sweet lime, a tsp of oil and a 1/2 cup of beer ( I made mine with Tuborg).

2. Mix in the flour slowly and gradually in order to prevent lumps.

3. Throw the chicken in the beer batter and marinate in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours.

4. In a separate plate, mix about 1/2 cup of all purpose flour (or maida) with 3/4 cup of bread crumbs.

5. Roll the marinated chicken in the flour-bread crumble mixture and deep fry it !

Serve your chicken in beer with some home-made coleslaw ! You can check my list of recipes for my version of coleslaw !
