Phirni

With the festive season nearing..I have decided to share one of my favorite desserts here !!

Phirni is easy to make and uses simple ingredients to turn itself into a delicacy !!

All it needs is,

250-300ml milk

2tsp rice flour

5 strands of saffron or kesar soaked in milk

2tsps each of chopped almonds, chopped pistachios

2 pods of green cardamom crushed

2tsps of sugar

Start simmering the milk in a pan and add the rice flour. keep stirring to prevent lumps. add the sugar and continue to stir. when the mixture starts to reduce and thicken, mix the chopped dry fruits and cardamom.

pour this mixture into serving bowls, garnish with dry fruits and nuts of your like.

freeze for about 2-3 hrs and enjoy !!! 🙂
